About the position

The Scrum Master - Technology Project Manager at CALI is a pivotal role responsible for facilitating Agile practices within the development team while managing technical projects to ensure successful and timely delivery. This position requires leading Agile ceremonies, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and removing impediments to enhance team productivity and performance. The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team empowerment in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that Agile methodologies are effectively implemented across the organization. In this role, the Scrum Master will lead and facilitate daily Scrum processes, planning sessions, and other Agile practices throughout CALI. They will collect and report Agile metrics, using these insights to guide continuous improvement efforts. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for organizing and conducting Agile ceremonies, leveraging their expertise to develop and implement program guidance, templates, and tools that support Agile practices. Additionally, the Scrum Master will oversee multiple technical projects from initiation through completion, developing and managing project plans, timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Collaboration with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams is essential to define project requirements, priorities, deadlines, and performance metrics. The Scrum Master will communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business objectives. The role also involves coaching and mentoring team members on Agile principles and best practices, identifying and removing obstacles that hinder team progress, and providing technical oversight to ensure alignment and feasibility of technical solutions. Staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies is crucial for this position, as it will help guide the team in implementing innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Confluence).
  • Technical background or experience in software development, engineering, or IT.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with software release concepts and best practices.
  • Broad experience in project and program types such as business transformation, custom development, and IT transformations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves
