About the position

The Scrum Master will support an Intel Community customer by guiding a scrum development team, facilitating Agile practices, and ensuring effective communication between the product owner and the team. This role requires a strong background in Agile methodology and Scrum, with a focus on coaching, conflict resolution, and fostering a collaborative environment. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence twice a week with flexibility for additional visits as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Scrum Master duties by overseeing the scrum development team, ensuring adherence to Agile practices.
  • Use your expertise in Agile methodology to educate and coach the team, empowering them to self-organize and continuously improve.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint planning, and other project-related meetings.
  • Act as a buffer between the scrum team and product owner, helping to resolve conflicts and removing obstacles that hinder team progress.
  • Record and maintain product requirements, manage the backlog, and ensure the team is focused on the highest priorities.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where team members feel comfortable sharing ideas and addressing challenges openly.
  • Work with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to enhance Agile practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Active Top Secret SCI with a polygraph (TS SCI Poly).
  • Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Scrum Master on a Scrum team.
  • At least 1 year of experience teaching others to adopt Agile practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and Scrum practices.
  • Familiarity with SAFe methodology.
  • Proficient with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, and Artifactory.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of and experience within a DevSecOps culture.
  • Experience working with and managing expectations of multiple Product Owners.
  • Familiarity with AWS and DIA mission applications.
  • Knowledge of intelligence collection management applications.
  • Familiarity with various Agile tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Redmine).
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and motivate teams.
  • Adept at identifying and solving problems to keep projects on track.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience working with multiple Agile teams across different organizations.
