About the position

As a Scrum Master at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in supporting customer activities by ensuring effective scrum processes are followed. This position involves leading teams in a fast-paced environment, facilitating scrum activities, and acting as a liaison between development teams and product management. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving impediments, managing risks, and ensuring the team meets its goals while contributing to the overall success of cyber security services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive, technical systems integration support to operational projects.
  • Coordinate and monitor the scrum process from initiation through delivery.
  • Plan and facilitate scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, board reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Assist the program with assessing, documenting, and tracking program requirements.
  • Maintain JIRA and other information radiators for the teams.
  • Collaborate with clients or end users to understand business requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between development teams and product management.
  • Identify programmatic and technical risks to the program and work with teams to address and mitigate these risks.
  • Identify and resolve impediments that slow development or prevent the team from meeting established goals or milestones.
  • Motivate teams to perform and ensure team members are collectively responsible for all aspects of the committed work.
  • Provide reports based on team capacity and performance against capacity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work/military experience.
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Scrum Master Certification.
  • Knowledge of AWS Cloud architecture and services.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development process.
  • Knowledge of Jira (or similar) project management tools.

  • Knowledge of Azure, Google and Oracle cloud service offerings.
