About the position

As a Scrum Master at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our mission is never interrupted. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the Scrum process, which includes hosting daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives. You will work closely with Product Owners to maintain product backlogs and remove any obstacles or impediments that may impact the sprints. Your role will also involve keeping the Technical Project Manager (TPM) informed about the status of their projects and collaborating with the Release Manager to ensure that plans, schedules, and roadmaps are up to date. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be tasked with planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for total systems or subsystems, utilizing both internally created and commercial off-the-shelf products. You will provide end-to-end project management support throughout the project life cycle, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the relationships, dependencies, and requirements of hardware and software components. Coordination with other team members will be essential to ensure problem resolution, appropriate risk reduction, and user satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Host daily stand-up (scrum) meetings, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work with Product Owners to maintain product backlogs and remove obstacles impacting sprints.
  • Keep the Technical Project Manager (TPM) informed on the status of their projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the Release Manager to keep plans, schedules, and roadmaps up to date.
  • Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions to total systems or subsystems.
  • Provide end-to-end project management support of the life cycle.
  • Ensure a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies, and requirements of hardware and software components.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure problem resolution, appropriate risk reduction, and user satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience in a Scrum Master role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Valid TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with scheduling and the Scrum development process.
  • Certifications related to Scrum or project management.
