About the position
Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), a leading manufacturer of custom oligonucleotides and proprietary technologies for genomics applications, is seeking a Scrum Master to join our Information Technology Business Applications department. In this role, you will lead a Scrum team to ensure on-time delivery of projects. You will be responsible for facilitating and managing communications related to Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Collaboration with the Product Owner, Scrum team, and stakeholders will be essential to prioritize backlog items and align them with business objectives. Your expertise in Agile methodology will be crucial in coaching and developing the Scrum team, with a primary focus on accelerating software delivery and improving quality. You will also lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the Scrum team's velocity and burndown, planning future sprint work accordingly. Resolving impediments and mitigating risks will be part of your responsibilities, helping the Scrum team to become a self-organizing unit. Responsibilities
- Lead Scrum team to ensure on-time delivery of projects.
- Facilitate and manage communications related to Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Product Owner, Scrum team, and stakeholders to prioritize backlog items and align with business objectives.
- Coach and develop Scrum team through Agile and scrum discipline to accelerate software delivery and improve quality.
- Lead continuous improvement in Scrum team's velocity and burndown, planning future sprint work accordingly.
- Resolve impediments and mitigate risks while helping Scrum team to become self-organizing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering or IT related field, or equivalent level of experience required.
- 5+ years of experience leading Agile transformation as a Scrum Master.
- Experience in JIRA and Confluence.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodology including Scaled Agile Framework, Scrum, or Kanban as well as software development life cycle.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, coaching, and servant leadership skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Certified Scrum Master certification, Professional Scrum Master certification, or SAFe certification.
- Experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Deep Learning in AWS or GCP.
