About the position

The Scrum Master role is essential for fostering agile practices within a dynamic team environment at a top Fortune 50 Financial client. This position focuses on ensuring the team effectively delivers on key initiatives while promoting continuous improvement and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating Scrum ceremonies and ensuring adherence to Scrum practices
• Removing impediments to progress and promoting continuous improvement within the team
• Collaborating with the Product Owner to clarify and prioritize the product backlog
• Engaging with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables
• Mentoring junior staff on agile methodologies and best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role or equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and frameworks
• Strong understanding of software development and system administration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on strategic planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced Degree in a relevant field
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification
• Experience in Project Management, particularly in Agile environments
• Familiarity with cloud applications such as Azure and Data Bricks
