About the position

The Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in facilitating Agile practices within the team and ensuring that the Scrum framework is effectively implemented. This individual will be responsible for coordinating the work of larger projects, which involves not only guiding the team through the Scrum process but also addressing and resolving any issues that arise during project execution. The Scrum Master will need to be proactive in identifying potential roadblocks and will work closely with team members to ensure that they are removed in a timely manner. Additionally, the Scrum Master will be required to be onsite for monthly Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, which are crucial for aligning team efforts with broader organizational goals. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment, where all members feel empowered to contribute their ideas and perspectives. In this role, the Scrum Master will also be tasked with maintaining a focus on data quality and analysis, particularly in relation to databases. This includes overseeing quality assurance processes and ensuring that data integrity is upheld throughout the project lifecycle. The Scrum Master will utilize their expertise in SQL to analyze data and track progress, ensuring that all tasks are managed effectively using Kanban boards. This position is ideal for someone who is not only skilled in Agile methodologies but also possesses a strong analytical mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate the work of larger projects and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Identify and resolve impediments that may hinder the team's progress.
• Maintain and track tasks using Kanban boards to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Oversee quality assurance processes for databases and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in monthly PI planning sessions and contribute to project alignment.

Requirements

• Experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data analysis.
• Experience with quality assurance processes for databases.
• Ability to track tasks and manage work using Kanban boards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with additional Agile frameworks such as Kanban or Lean.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
