About the position

Our client is currently seeking a Scrum Master in Boston, MA, on a hybrid basis. The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in enhancing the understanding and application of Agile practices and values within the team. This position requires a proactive approach to coaching team members, fostering a growth mindset, and maturing the current Agile adoption across the organization. The Scrum Master will champion continuous improvement activities aimed at increasing productivity and will coach squads to conduct these improvement initiatives effectively. In this role, the Scrum Master will anticipate and address impediments that may hinder the team's progress and will help manage interdependencies between various Agile teams. Regular assessments of Agile maturity will be a key responsibility, with the Scrum Master actively coaching teams to achieve higher levels of growth. This will involve partnering with peers to impact portfolio maturity positively. The Scrum Master will utilize data, observation, and analytical skills to proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in team health and delivery. They will be responsible for developing proposed solutions and sharing knowledge and best practices across teams to foster a culture of learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Focus on increasing the skill and understanding of Agile practices and values by actively coaching team members on growth mindset and maturing current Agile adoption.
• Champion continuous improvement activities to increase productivity; coach squads to conduct continuous improvement.
• Anticipate and address impediments to team and help manage interdependencies between agile teams.
• Regularly assess Agile maturity and actively coach to higher levels of growth, partnering with peers to help impact portfolio maturity.
• Use data, observation and analytical skills to proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in team health and delivery, develop proposed solutions, and share knowledge and best practices across teams.

Requirements

• Strong coaching skills to guide teams with strong personalities.
• Agile experience to help teams move forward, with the ability to be present, actively listen, be caring, and forward-thinking.
• Agile Transformation experience and working with non-traditional teams.
• Experience with Jira & Confluence preferred.
