About the position

T2 Systems is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to support our Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies across multiple product teams. As the largest parking, mobility, and transportation provider in North America, T2 Systems has over 25 years of experience in the parking management industry, serving thousands of parking professionals. The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in maintaining Agile disciplines with a daily cadence, supporting eight sprint teams in software development across the T2 portfolio of product offerings. This position will involve close collaboration with software development leaders and the Senior Vice President of Technology to build and maintain high-performing teams that are sustainable and effective. In this role, the Scrum Master will be responsible for planning and leading quarterly iteration planning sessions across product lines, scheduling and facilitating Scrum Agile ceremonies throughout the sprint for all teams, and fostering a culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will work closely with Product Owners, engineering leaders, and architecture to prioritize and groom product backlogs, ensuring that user stories are gathered in a timely manner for sprint planning. Additionally, the Scrum Master will escalate and manage impediments to ensure successful sprint completions and coach teams on the basics of Scrum or Kanban as needed. The ideal candidate will uphold Agile methodology values and principles, continuously monitor teams to ensure sprint completion, and coordinate with committed release dates. They will gather, document, and present sprint metrics as needed, support IT in day-to-day Kanban operations, and set a professional example for the team through model behavior and superior performance. The Scrum Master will also drive the team to meet deadlines, facilitate teamwork to achieve goals, mentor junior or new team members, and identify opportunities for professional growth and improvement within the team. Furthermore, they will assess and suggest opportunities for process improvement and ensure timely entry of time into Jira and Azure DevOps, promoting adherence to departmental and software development process standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead quarterly iteration planning sessions across product lines
  • Schedule and facilitate Scrum Agile ceremonies throughout the sprint for all teams
  • Foster and motivate a culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Work with Product Owners, engineering leaders, and architecture to prioritize and groom Product backlogs
  • Gather prioritized User Stories in a timely manner for Sprint Planning
  • Escalate and manage Impediments to ensure successful Sprint completions
  • Coach Teams on the basics of Scrum or Kanban in simple terms
  • Uphold the Agile methodology values and principles; facilitate Scrum Agile ceremonies
  • Continuously monitor teams to ensure Sprint completion to coordinate with committed Release dates
  • Gather, document, and present Sprint metrics on an as needed basis
  • Support IT in day to day KanBan operations
  • Set a professional example for the team through model behavior, superior performance, and proper attendance
  • Drive the team to meet deadlines
  • Facilitate teamwork to meet goals
  • Mentor junior/new members of the team
  • Identify and encourage areas for professional growth and improvement within the team
  • Assess and suggest opportunities for process improvement
  • Assure timely entry of time into Jira and Azure DevOps

  • Develop project plans and manage projects as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Project Management or equivalent experience
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced problem solving skills with the ability to effectively problem-solve, analyze, and react effectively to change
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master
  • 5+ years professional work experience
  • Understand implementation details of Scrum
  • Understand Agile Software development process
  • Experience working independently in a fast paced Agile environment
  • Ability to work in a rapidly growing fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities within deadlines
