About the position

The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in leading Agile practices within the CGI Advantage team, focusing on a significant payroll transformation project. This position involves mentoring teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring effective collaboration among team members and stakeholders. The Scrum Master will be responsible for removing impediments, tracking team progress, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Create a collaborative and positive team focused on continuous improvement and innovation
  • Guide and mentor teams in Agile values, principles, and practices
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, etc.)
  • Facilitate effective team collaboration, conflict resolution, and decision-making, and team level self-organization
  • Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress, and protect the team from distractions
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, and other development team members to ensure a clear product vision and backlog
  • Track and report on team progress and performance metrics
  • Build strong relationships with team members, product owners, and stakeholders
  • Create meeting minutes, action items, and tool updates as needed in accordance with ceremony results
  • Remove team impediments and escalate impediments to Project Leads that cannot be resolved at the team level

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
  • Active Scrum Master certification
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, experience with ERP preferred
  • Minimum of 1 full year of experience with the Scaled Agile Framework - Enterprise (SAFe)
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Proven experience with large-scale data management and software integration projects, ERP projects a plus
  • Experience in project management, risk/issue mitigation, and client collaboration
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn and grow; Committed to continuous learning mindset
  • Ability to adapt to change and embrace new challenges
  • Proactive, self-motivated and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment, travel to client site in Sacramento as required
