About the position

The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in guiding teams through Agile practices to enhance productivity and collaboration. This position involves supporting the Scrum process, advocating for Agile methodologies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. The Scrum Master will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Lead Scrum Master, VP of Technology, engineers, and product owners, to ensure alignment on project goals and to drive meaningful change in delivering high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Host and drive Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support and guide team members on Scrum principles and practices to enhance their understanding and application.
  • Advocate for Agile methodologies and best practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team's progress.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in agile methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field OR minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira or Trello.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is a plus.
  • Background in automotive lending or loan servicing.
