About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. The Scrum Master will participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Scrum or Agile methodologies. The role involves reviewing and analyzing basic or tactical Scrum Master assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives related to low-to-medium risk deliverables. The Scrum Master will present recommendations for resolving these situations and will exercise some independent judgment while developing an understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Additionally, the Scrum Master will provide information to client personnel, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Scrum or Agile.
• Review and analyze basic or tactical Scrum Master assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
• Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Provide information to client personnel.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Scrum or Agile experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
• 2+ years Kanban experience.
• 4+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with one or more Agile tools for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as JIRA.
• Ability to escalate issues and exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including those related to conflict resolution.
