About the position

As a Scrum Master in this contingent resource role, you will play a crucial part in facilitating and guiding teams through the Scrum process. Your primary responsibility will be to participate in low to moderately complex initiatives, where you will identify opportunities for process improvements within Scrum or Agile frameworks. This role requires you to review and analyze basic or tactical Scrum Master assignments or challenges, which will involve conducting research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives related to low-to-medium risk deliverables. You will be expected to present recommendations for resolving these situations, exercising some independent judgment while developing a deeper understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements relevant to the organization. In addition to your analytical responsibilities, you will provide essential information and support to client personnel, ensuring that they are well-informed and equipped to navigate the Scrum process effectively. Your role will also involve fostering a collaborative environment where team members can thrive and contribute to the success of the initiatives at hand. Responsibilities

  • Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Scrum or Agile frameworks.
  • Review and analyze basic or tactical Scrum Master assignments or challenges, requiring research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
  • Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations, exercising some independent judgment while developing an understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide information and support to client personnel.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Scrum or Agile methodologies, demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 2+ years of experience with Kanban.
  • 4+ years of experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as JIRA.
  • Ability to escalate issues and exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
