About the position

As a Scrum Master at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), you will lead the implementation of Agile methodologies within the Data team, facilitating collaboration and continuous improvement. Your role involves prioritizing requirements, guiding the team through sprint planning, and addressing obstacles to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality applications. You will act as a servant leader, promoting a culture of efficiency and adherence to technology standards while coordinating cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Agile methodologies and facilitate collaboration within the team.
  • Prioritize requirements and guide the team through sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Foster continuous improvement and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and address obstacles to ensure successful delivery of high-quality applications.
  • Facilitate M&A Data Integration sessions and manage multiple scrum teams.
  • Act as a liaison between the team and external stakeholders to address challenges.
  • Guide the team in adopting agile data practices, such as iterative data modeling and continuous data integration.
  • Facilitate data-related Scrum events, such as Data Sprint Planning, Data Stand-ups, Data Reviews, and Data Retrospectives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging teams to reflect on their processes and outcomes during retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in a Scrum Master or similar role.
  • Experience in managing M&A activities and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to create, review, and approve plans for delivering M&A project outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address obstacles.
  • Experience in facilitating retrospectives and feedback mechanisms.

Nice-to-haves
