About the position

The Scrum Master at MSUFCU plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Agile teams within the financial sector. This position focuses on driving member-centric solutions, improving time to market, and delivering valuable features across various digital and core banking platforms. The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating scrum ceremonies, coaching Agile teams, and ensuring adherence to governance standards while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all scrum ceremonies for the Agile team.
• Assist Product Owners in managing backlogs and ensuring sprint deliverables are met.
• Continuously improve the performance of the Agile team and their working environment.
• Challenge organizational barriers constructively to solve system-wide problems.
• Motivate the team and act as a passionate Agile change agent.
• Ensure a trusting and safe environment for team members to raise issues without fear.
• Balance sprint plans between support work, technical debt, and new project features.

Requirements

• Experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Scrum Master or Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, PSM).
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with digital banking solutions and core banking systems.
