About the position

The Hollister Group, a leading women-owned staffing firm in the Boston area, is seeking a qualified Scrum Master to join our Technology Staffing team. This role is pivotal in guiding teams through the Agile process, ensuring that all team members are engaged and that projects are delivered on time and within scope. As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and planning meetings, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement. Your expertise will help the team maintain focus on their goals while navigating the complexities of project management in a fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring resource capacity planning, measuring team velocity, and maintaining the stability of resources. You will track and provide visibility into team performance metrics, ensuring that all deliverables align with the priorities set forth by the Product Owner's roadmap. Your role will also involve protecting the team from outside interruptions and actively tracking and removing impediments that may hinder progress. As a coach, you will work closely with teams to enhance their throughput and quality, guiding them towards achieving their Sprint goals and embracing a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement
  • Ensure resource capacity planning, velocity measurement, and stability of resources
  • Ensure tracking and visibility of team performance metrics
  • Coordinate and align deliverables with stated priorities of the Product Owner's roadmap
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner on release planning and backlog maintenance
  • Protect the team from outside interruptions
  • Track and remove impediments that may prevent progress
  • Coach teams to improve in throughput and quality and Sprint goals and practice continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Scrum Master certification
  • Experience with Reach, Node, JIRA
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
