About the position

The Scrum Master at BCforward is responsible for leading one or more Scrum teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing team dependencies, and ensuring continuous improvement within the team. This role involves delivery management for key projects within the GFIIT portfolio and requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Capital Markets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint retrospectives, and PI planning.
• Act as a servant leader to the teams and help resolve impediments.
• Coach the team to achieve sprint goals and timelines, ensuring adherence to the 'Definition of Ready' and 'Definition of Done'.
• Facilitate scaled planning for the team in a Scaled Agile model, including Pre-planning preparation and Scrum of Scrums.
• Enable the team to become high performing through collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Drive the agile team maturity based on the Bank's guidelines.
• Manage delivery for key GFIIT deliverables.
• Analyze business needs and build relationships with business partners to drive understanding and solutions.

Requirements

• Experience as a Scrum Master with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Ability to coach teams and facilitate Agile ceremonies effectively.
• Experience in delivery management and oversight support for key projects.
• Business analyst experience in understanding business needs and solutions.
• Prior experience in Capital Markets and technology project management.

Nice-to-haves

• Scrum Master or PMP certification.
• Experience with Quartz or Trading applications.
• Knowledge of Python or SQL scripting.
