About the position

The Scrum Master will work with and coach teams in the planning, managing, and delivery of capabilities and associated deliverables to support organizational objectives. This role involves leading teams in the use of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, to enhance team effectiveness and ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate iteration (sprint) planning and lead work within individual sprints.
• Coordinate retrospectives and demos.
• Assist key business users (product owners) with backlog creation and prioritization.
• Ensure cross-functional team coordination among GUI designers, analysts, developers, and testers.
• Lead daily sprint stand-ups and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain and publish Agile metrics such as velocity and burn-down.
• Coach, mentor, and promote Agile best practices across the organization.
• Manage project external dependencies by collaborating with outside teams.
• Strategically address complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Coach activities to maintain progress and interaction among various parties, reducing risks and maximizing benefits.
• Build and develop business relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels and locations.
• Maintain continuous alignment with defined strategic business objectives.
• Motivate and coordinate project team members and contractors, influencing them to take positive action and maintain accountability.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
• Ability to guide teams through the transition to Scrum methodologies.
• High level of familiarity with Jira.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in coaching teams effectively to plan work and deliver to business partners.
