About the position

The Scrum Master coordinates an agile development team, ensuring that all activities adhere to the principles of the Scrum Framework. This role involves leading teams through work actions that can be completed within timeboxed iterations known as sprints, and tracking progress through brief stand-up meetings. The Scrum Master is responsible for understanding the department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. This position requires making decisions regarding work methods, often in ambiguous situations, and operates with minimal direction while receiving guidance as needed. The Scrum Master follows established guidelines and procedures to ensure the team's success and continuous improvement in consumer experiences. In this role, the Scrum Master will facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure that the project goals are met. They will also be responsible for identifying and removing any impediments that may hinder the team's progress. The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in fostering an environment of trust and respect, encouraging team members to take ownership of their work and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. This position is essential for ensuring that the team adheres to Agile principles and practices, ultimately leading to successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate an agile development team and ensure adherence to Scrum principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of less than 5 years
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership competencies
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment or familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Experience in a multi-team environment
  • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

  • Prior insurance operations background
  • Technical documentation abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodology
  • Working knowledge of Agile Project Management Tools
