About the position

The Scrum Master supports agile team(s) in the delivery of complex cloud solutions that deliver business value. This position will partner with the product owner to support product backlog definition, refinement, and prioritization to feed sprints. The Scrum Master is responsible for proactively eliminating barriers, coaching team members on best practices, and running scrum ceremonies. This role is essential in teaching, mentoring, and facilitating the agile mindset within the team, ensuring that the team progresses toward their goals and commitments through improvements in quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. In addition to facilitating Scrum ceremonies such as daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, team demos, and retrospectives, the Scrum Master focuses on improving team dynamics, performance, and conflict management while exhibiting lean agile and scrum principles in all actions. The Scrum Master also supports and coaches the Product Owner, preserves collaborative relationships, and communicates extensively with the global community. They identify and remove impediments while maintaining a healthy and transparent relationship with the team. Furthermore, the Scrum Master facilitates preparation and readiness for Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies and supports the team and ART estimate, helping coordinate with other teams on the ART. They also support the Scrum team in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and AWS cloud best practices, working with the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) to ensure compliance with cloud governance policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience on a product development team using agile/scrum.
  • At least 2 years of experience in AWS cloud technologies and services.
  • Strong knowledge of IAC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification.
  • AWS Certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal/non-verbal and written forms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships inside and outside of the team.
  • Ability to create plans to ensure work gets completed in a timely manner.
