About the position

Arlluk Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Scrum Master to support our government customer at Fort Belvoir, VA. The ideal candidate will possess a Secret Clearance and will be responsible for implementing Agile frameworks and methodologies within various programs and requirements of the ARMY. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can lead multiple concurrent projects using the Scrum method and Agile processes, ensuring that the team adheres to Agile core values and practices. As a Scrum Master, you will educate the team on Agile principles, including Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Planning, while assisting them in self-organizing and self-managing to achieve effective Agile integration. You will lead essential Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and sprint reviews. Additionally, you will mentor other Scrum Masters, fostering an environment that promotes peak performance and continuous improvement while eliminating impediments to progress. Your responsibilities will also include facilitating events for teams, supporting Product Owners in backlog grooming, and building a Scrum Master Community of Practice. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office environment, and may require occasional travel to local, remote, and out-of-state locations. The workload may necessitate standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 lbs. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will interface with all levels of management and build relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the team lead in implementing an Agile framework and Lean-Agile development.
  • Lead multiple concurrent projects in Agile using the Scrum method and Agile processes.
  • Educate the team in Agile core values, Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Planning, and other Agile processes.
  • Assist teams in self-organizing and self-management to achieve Agile integration.
  • Lead meetings and ceremonies associated with the Scrum Master role, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
  • Mentor other Scrum Masters in Agile practices and create an environment for peak performance dynamics.
  • Facilitate events for teams and support Product Owners in backlog grooming and expectations.
  • Build the Scrum Master Community of Practice.

Requirements

  • Certified Scrum Master Certificate
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10-15 years of experience including 5 years of specific Scrum Master experience
  • Proficient in project management and Agile task management tools such as Atlassian suite, Azure DevOps, Rational Team Concert, Rally, and ServiceNow
  • Demonstrated skill in building relationships
  • Innovative thinker with a track record for executing strategic plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
  • Secret Clearance
