SAIC is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team, working remotely to lead a SAFe Agile Scrum team within the United States Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources and Conservation Division. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by facilitating Agile ceremonies and collaborating closely with the Product Owner and other stakeholders. The Scrum Master will be responsible for leading the quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning sessions and facilitating SAFe iteration ceremonies every two weeks with the scrum team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe, and will be adept at coaching team members to improve effectiveness and efficiency. In this position, the Scrum Master will work with the Government Product Owner to plan out quarterly Program Increments and develop a 2-to-3-year roadmap for project work. They will collaborate with the Development Project Manager and Business Analyst to create S.M.A.R.T. objectives and features for the PI work. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for organizing demos for the development team to showcase completed work from past iterations and updating traceability metrics to record project completions. This role requires a proactive approach to interfacing with all areas of the solution train and federal side, including customers, clients, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle. As a Servant Leader, the Scrum Master will support team leadership in managing the backlog, shielding the team from outside interference, and removing obstacles to achieving commitments. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time remote position with no travel requirements, and candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
