About the position

BAE Systems is looking for an experienced ScrumMaster to join a strong team supporting our government customer. As a member of our team, you will join a diverse group of driven professionals who design the products and systems that support enhanced capabilities, protect national security, and keep critical information and infrastructure secure. With us, you will be able to make an impact while you hone your skills and grow in your career. The Scrum Master will be responsible for executing Scrum methodologies for product lifecycle. You will guide teams in the Agile methodology, support team rules, facilitate product team's progress toward team goals, lead and facilitate meetings, eliminate blockers, promote Agile quality practices, build a high-performing team, coordinate with other teams, support ROM and level of estimate activities, and provide the team with feedback and means of improvement while serving as a resource to answer questions. You will lead regular agile sessions to encourage collaboration, transparency, and innovation such as team scrums, sprint planning, and user demonstrations. Additionally, you will advise government personnel on incremental changes that could lead to continuous improvement in products, services, and/or standardization of processes.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Scrum methodologies for product lifecycle.
  • Guide teams in the Agile methodology and support team rules.
  • Facilitate product team's progress toward team goals.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings to eliminate blockers and promote Agile quality practices.
  • Build a high-performing team and coordinate with other teams.
  • Support ROM and level of estimate activities.
  • Provide feedback and means of improvement to the team.
  • Lead regular agile sessions to encourage collaboration, transparency, and innovation.
  • Advise government personnel on incremental changes for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (1 year of education = 1.5 years of experience).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a Business Analyst/Requirements Analyst role or as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban/SAFe Certification required.
  • Expert knowledge and documented experience using requirements management tools such as JIRA, TFS, etc.
