About the position

The Scrum Master role at Fidelity TalentSource involves leading and mentoring agile teams to enhance their performance and value delivery. This position is focused on facilitating agile practices, managing product backlogs, and resolving impediments within a collaborative squad environment. The Scrum Master will work closely with squad leaders and team members to ensure effective communication and continuous improvement in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Advise, mentor, and coach agile values, practices, and processes to accelerate squad value delivery.
• Maintain a product backlog and help remove impediments.
• Facilitate agile events including daily scrums, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Lead release management coordination and participate in scaling events.
• Examine and drive team performance through metrics and data-driven insights.
• Serve two established squads in a Scrum@Scale structure within the IWMS Business Unit.
• Support cross-functional squads focusing on end-to-end development of a web-based trading application.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) credential or similar Scrum credential.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of Agile practices, processes, and artifacts.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Jira Align, Miro, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Brokerage and Technology background preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with managing different methods/frameworks for organizing work via Kanban and/or Scrum.
