About the position
The Scrum Master at GDIT plays a crucial role in supporting agile teams by translating high-level business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. This position is responsible for facilitating daily scrums, collaborating with developers and subject matter experts, and ensuring high-quality performance for customers. The Scrum Master will also assist in user acceptance testing and manage the backlog for Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD).
Responsibilities
- Support an agile team in translating high-level business requirements into user stories and acceptance test criteria using Agile methodology.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Assist the end-user in user acceptance test setup and testing as needed.
- Run daily scrums and work with agile teams, product owners, and users.
- Manage the backlog for Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD).
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required.
- 10+ years of experience in managing backlog for BDD and ATDD.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello.
- Certified Scrum Master / Product Owner / Product Manager (SAFe certification preferred).
- Experience running Scrum teams in an agile environment for software development.
- Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills.
- Team coaching experience.
