About the position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Scrum Master / Agile Coach to join our team! In this role, you will be at the forefront leading SAFe® Agile teams in support of the FORGE program. The Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution System (FORGE) is a program that will utilize the resources and capabilities of both the legacy Space Based-Infrared System (SBIRS) and the Next Generation OPIR system. FORGE will use current ground architecture to leverage newer technologies, facilitate the addition of new systems, and incorporate these into a common C2 architecture that includes infrastructure, platform, and core services. The Scrum Master will work with a talented team of various vendors, engineers, and the customer to develop the FORGE ground baseline. In this position, you will lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives. You will ensure that Scrum practices are adhered to and continuously improve the effectiveness of these ceremonies using SAFe principles and Agile practices. Acting as a servant leader to the Scrum team, you will remove impediments and help the team stay focused on delivering high-quality increments. You will coach team members on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and self-organization, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment that encourages open communication and accountability. You will collaborate with Product Owners to ensure that the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and refined, assisting in defining clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. Tracking sprint progress, managing scope changes, and ensuring that the team adheres to sprint goals will be part of your responsibilities. You will monitor and report on team performance metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and sprint progress, identifying areas for improvement and working with the team to implement process enhancements. Regular updates and insights will be provided to stakeholders and leadership on team progress and challenges, facilitating communication between team members, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure alignment and transparency. You will also manage and resolve conflicts within the team to maintain a positive and productive working environment, driving continuous improvement by implementing feedback from retrospectives and other sources. Staying current with Agile best practices and industry trends will be essential to enhance the team's Agile maturity.
