About the position
The Scrum Master will lead Agile teams to ensure successful project delivery by acting as a servant leader. This role involves facilitating Scrum practices, removing obstacles, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Agile frameworks and excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of empowering teams to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives
- Coach teams on Agile principles and practices to promote continuous improvement and maximize productivity
- Identify and eliminate obstacles preventing the team from meeting their sprint goals
- Encourage open communication and cooperation within the team and with stakeholders
- Monitor sprint progress, maintain sprint burn-down charts and report on team performance metrics
- Assist the Product Owner in maintaining a clear and prioritized backlog and defining sprint goals
- Drive team retrospectives to identify actionable improvements and ensure follow-through
- Act as a liaison between the development team and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role
- Proven track record of working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred
- Excellent facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficient in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with software development life cycles and technical concepts is a plus
