About the position

Maximus is seeking a Scrum Master to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission-critical systems in defense of our Homeland. The Scrum Master will facilitate and ensure the effective implementation of Agile practices, fostering a collaborative and productive environment for a federal client's operations. This role is crucial in guiding teams through Agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Facilitate collaboration and communication between development, operations, and business teams to ensure alignment on project goals and seamless integration of deliverables.
• Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
• Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with product owners, development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Monitor Progress: Track and report on team performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Promote Agile Principles: Advocate for Agile values and principles within the organization, driving adoption and adherence to Agile methodologies.
• Continuous Improvement: Encourage and facilitate process improvements to enhance team efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related experience supporting IT programs as a Scrum Master.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
