About the position

As a Senior Scrum Master at CAI, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Scrum maturity of our teams and the organization as a whole. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the current Scrum practices and guide teams towards higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace. This position is full-time and requires you to work onsite in Baton Rouge, LA. You will be expected to mentor multiple teams, utilizing Agile and Scrum best practices, methodologies, and values to foster a culture of continuous improvement. In this role, you will remove impediments that hinder the team's progress and facilitate the completion of work assignments. You will also support and educate the Product Owner and teams, particularly in grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Engaging in agile delivery, you will employ best practices from various agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Your leadership style will be rooted in servant leadership, where you lead by example and provide support to your teams. Additionally, you will facilitate all necessary team meetings in accordance with Scrum ceremonies, ensuring that each meeting is productive and aligned with the team's goals. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and building Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program performance, as well as creating and maintaining product timelines, status reports, communication plans, and other product management-related documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor multiple teams and the organization using Agile/Scrum best practices, methodologies, and values.
  • Remove impediments or guide a team to remove impediments.
  • Facilitate completion of work assignments, assigning or dictating work assignments.
  • Support and educate the Product Owner and teams, including grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Engage in agile delivery utilizing best agile methodologies (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Provide support to teams using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and lead by example.
  • Facilitate all necessary team meetings in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years' experience in the Scrum Master role.
  • Scrum Master certification (include a copy of the certificate with resume).
  • Identifying and building Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program performance.
  • Creating and maintaining product timelines, status reports, communication plans, and other product management-related documentation.
