About the position

The Scrum Master plays a crucial role in guiding and coaching the Scrum Team to effectively utilize Agile practices and principles, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. This position focuses on enhancing team performance by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, facilitating Scrum events, and promoting self-organization within the team. The Scrum Master also collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to drive decision-making and resolve impediments, contributing to the overall advancement of Agile practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles.
  • Ensure the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
  • Facilitate and support all Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Help the team achieve a high-performing level by recognizing strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Work with Scrum Team and stakeholders to influence decision-making.
  • Resolve team impediments with other Scrum Masters to enhance Scrum effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Agile practices within the organization.

Requirements

  • 3 years of project development experience on an Agile Team or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple organizational levels.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile framework (Scrum, Kanban) and understanding of software development life cycle models.
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Coach is desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Practice with scaling frameworks and methodologies.
  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.
