About the position

As a Scrum Master at FIS, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting our teams as they navigate the complexities of agile project management. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a servant leader, fostering a high-performing team environment that encourages self-organization and cross-functionality. You will be instrumental in promoting good behaviors within the team, ensuring that they produce high-quality features while continuously improving throughout the product delivery cycle. In this role, you will be tasked with removing impediments that may hinder the team's progress towards their iteration goals. You will also assist the Product Owner in facilitating iteration ceremonies, which are crucial for maintaining the flow of work and ensuring alignment with project objectives. Your expertise in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) will be essential as you help the team embrace lean agile principles and core values. You will reinforce practices such as Built-in Quality and Work In Progress (WIP) limits, guiding the team to focus on agreed program increment objectives during iteration planning. Additionally, you will coordinate with systems teams and other shared services across the organization to facilitate agile release train activities, including ART Sync, PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt sessions. Your role will also involve coaching the team and the broader organization in agile and scrum practices, leading efforts to improve all aspects of work by teaching problem-solving techniques. Creating a safe and trusting environment where conflicts can be managed constructively will be a key focus, as will promoting a problem-solving mindset among all team members. Requirements

  • Strong background as a Scrum Master.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly.
