About the position

As a Scrum Master at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), you will lead the implementation of Agile methodologies within the Data team, facilitating collaboration and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality applications. Your role will involve prioritizing requirements, guiding the team through sprint planning, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will act as a liaison between the team and external stakeholders, manage multiple scrum teams, and promote adherence to MMA's technology standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Agile methodologies and facilitate collaboration within the team.
  • Prioritize requirements and guide the team through sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Foster continuous improvement and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and address obstacles to ensure successful delivery of applications.
  • Facilitate data-related Scrum events, such as Data Sprint Planning, Data Stand-ups, Data Reviews, and Data Retrospectives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging teams to reflect on their processes and outcomes during retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Act as a liaison between the team and stakeholders, managing expectations and providing updates.
  • Advocate for the team's needs and ensure a productive and positive work environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in a Scrum Master or similar role.
  • Experience in facilitating M&A Data Integration sessions and managing M&A activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple scrum teams and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in creating, reviewing, and approving plans for delivering M&A project outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address obstacles.

Nice-to-haves
