About the position

The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in facilitating Agile practices within a Fortune 100 Financial Services company. This position involves consulting on complex initiatives, resolving multifaceted challenges, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the acceptance of accelerated delivery. The Scrum Master will also focus on driving engineering practices and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Scrum or Agile.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted Scrum Master challenges requiring in-depth evaluation.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring understanding of function, policies, and compliance.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
• Partner with key stakeholders to mature acceptance of accelerated delivery.
• Drive engineering practices including TDD, BDD, Pair programming, CI/CD, and Automation deployment.
• Focus on driving Unit testing and functional automation as part of DOD.
• Demonstrate understanding and practical experience with JIRA and JIRA Portfolio.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Scrum or Agile experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
• Scrum Master Certification.
• Understanding of Alignment of Agile practices.
• Experience working in Compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across different levels and stakeholders.
• Experience leading scrum or Kanban teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Scaled Agile (SAFe, Scrum at Scale, LESS) experience.
• Change Management (PROSCI, Kotter, etc.)
• Good understanding of Lean engineering practices.
