The individual will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating cross-functional teams that handle high complexity and organizational importance. This role requires coordination of development dependencies that may span multiple teams, ensuring that all project stakeholders are aligned on release scope and deliverables that support business goals. As a primary communication hub, the individual will facilitate communication between functional departments and the scrum team, proactively identifying risks and formulating plans to mitigate them. The role also includes organizing activities to ensure that sprints are completed on time, participating in the creation and management of project timelines, and removing impediments that may hinder team progress. The individual will escalate issues to stakeholders, including product teams and scrum teams, as necessary. In addition to overseeing team performance and setting expectations, the individual will work closely with resource managers to address any performance issues. Building and nurturing business relationships that are vital to project success is also a key responsibility. The role includes coordinating and facilitating sprint planning, task definition, sprint execution, impediment removal, and tracking, as well as conducting sprint reviews and retrospectives. The individual will drive the development of release and sprint roadmaps and assist product owners with backlog creation and grooming of user stories. Promoting Agile and Scrum best practices across the organization is essential, along with reporting the status of teams to an executive audience. A general understanding of application programming, database, and system design is beneficial, as is proven experience in managing large, complex web application development.
