About the position

CACI is seeking a Scrum Master to join our Business and Information Technology Services (BITS) organization team to support our contract with the Defense Personal Property System (DPS). You will be a part of a dynamic, close-knit team of mid- to senior-level professionals. As a Scrum Master, you will actively lead and coach the team through the entire software development process. DPS is USTRANSCOM's logistics system that moves shipments of personal goods for more than 1.3 million service members, 700,000 civilians, and their families. This role is crucial in ensuring that the team adheres to Agile/Scrum practices and principles, facilitating a productive and efficient work environment. In this position, you will be responsible for activities associated with the delivery of customer-defined and software projects. You will coach the team on the use of Agile/Scrum practices, implement and enforce Agile principles, and continually seek to improve these practices. Your role will involve mentoring and coaching the team on Agile processes, methods, and practices, while fostering positive team dynamics to maximize performance. You will also identify and remove impediments that may hinder the team's ability to deliver effectively. As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate or participate in scrum events, sprint planning, sprint demos, and retrospective meetings. You will interface with client personnel, utilizing your oral and written communication skills to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders, including customer Product Owners. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining relevant metrics to help the team maximize performance, supporting the development of product roadmaps, and ensuring that appropriate resources are assigned to projects or tasks. Collaboration across Scrum teams and with engineers, analysts, and support personnel will be essential to ensure product quality and timely delivery of efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Scrum Master responsible for delivery of customer-defined and software projects
  • Coach the team on Agile/Scrum practices

  • Provide mentoring and coaching on Agile processes, methods, and practices
  • Facilitate positive team dynamics to maximize team performance
  • Identify and remove impediments to protect the team from outside influences
  • Facilitate or participate in scrum events, sprint planning, sprint demos, and retrospective meetings
  • Interface with client personnel to develop working relationships with stakeholders
  • Facilitate internal and external communication and improve transparency
  • Maintain and use relevant metrics to maximize team performance
  • Support development of product roadmaps
  • Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to projects or tasks
  • Collaborate across Scrum teams and with engineers, analysts, and support personnel
  • Schedule and allocate work, providing advice and guidance, and resolving problems
  • Ensure product quality and timeliness of efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required to begin employment and must be maintained
  • Detail and process-oriented
  • Experienced with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Team player
