About the position
As a Scrum Master at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a development team through Agile best practices. Your primary responsibilities will include facilitating sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that the team adheres to Agile methodologies. You will also mentor new team members on Agile processes, helping them to understand and implement these practices effectively. In addition to your facilitation duties, you will support the management team in communicating with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations, and ensuring that project goals are met. Your role will involve collecting and writing detailed user stories, collaborating with the team and clients to identify associated tasks and acceptance criteria. You will analyze business processes and work closely with the project team to implement improvements. Maintaining a product backlog will be essential, as will supporting quality assurance and requirement validation. You will meet with various stakeholders to discuss their needs and provide valuable suggestions during interviews and requirements gathering sessions. Furthermore, you will be responsible for creating documentation for new efforts, including level of effort analysis, plans or timelines, requirements documents, and any other necessary documentation to support the project. This position requires a strong background in Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will be expected to lead client delivery engagements and work closely with senior-level client management, ensuring that all project deliverables meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile best practices within the development team.
- Mentor new team members on Agile processes.
- Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with gathering and documenting technical and business requirements.
- 5+ years of experience as the Scrum Master of a development team.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in leading client delivery engagements and working with senior-level client management.
- Experience teaching technical teams the basic Agile framework concepts.
- Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
