About the position
The SDET Automation Engineer with Actimize Testing is responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of banking software applications through automated testing. This role involves working with complex systems, utilizing strong analytical skills, and collaborating within a hybrid work environment. The engineer will leverage automation tools and frameworks to enhance testing processes and contribute to continuous integration and delivery practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, and other automation tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand software requirements and design test cases accordingly.
- Perform Actimize testing to ensure compliance and functionality of banking applications.
- Utilize strong programming skills in Python or Java to enhance testing frameworks.
- Participate in agile development processes and contribute to continuous integration and delivery practices.
- Analyze test results and provide feedback to development teams for improvements.
- Maintain and update existing test scripts and frameworks as needed.
- Work independently and as part of a team to prioritize and complete tasks.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as an SDET or in a similar role.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, NUnit, and Appium.
- Experience with automation frameworks, particularly with Cucumber.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with XML, databases, and SQL.
- Understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
