About the position

The SDET/QA Engineer position is designed for an experienced professional with a strong background in Java Test Development and Automation Test Strategy. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in the field, demonstrating a proven ability to create and implement effective automation testing strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of Test and Behavior Driven Development (TDD and BDD) methodologies, particularly with frameworks such as Jbehave and Cucumber. The candidate will be expected to leverage their strong Java development skills, utilizing tools like Eclipse IDE, Spring, and Junit to ensure high-quality software delivery. The position emphasizes the importance of collaboration with development teams to integrate testing processes seamlessly into the software development lifecycle, ensuring that quality is maintained at every stage of development. The successful candidate will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Create and drive Automation Test Strategy for software applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and relevant frameworks.
• Implement Test and Behavior Driven Development (TDD and BDD) practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on best practices in automation testing.
• Analyze test results and provide feedback to development teams to improve software quality.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Java Test Development.
• Proven experience in creating and driving Automation Test Strategy.
• Strong knowledge of Test and Behavior Driven Development (TDD and BDD).
• Experience with Jbehave and Cucumber frameworks.
• Proficient in Java development, including experience with Eclipse IDE, Spring, and Junit.
