About the position

The SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) role at Kforce involves participating in agile sprint activities to deliver test and automation solutions. The position requires collaboration with developers and business analysts to address testing issues, ensuring alignment with automation standards, and supporting DevOps integration. The SDET will also lead project risk identification and promote quality engineering practices within the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Participate in squad level sprint activities and support delivery of test and automation solutions
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test creation or execution
• Facilitate alignment to automation standards and support overall DevOps Integration
• Identify, communicate, and proactively lead project risks as well as those of supporting teams
• Partner with development teams and promote understanding of quality engineering and its role in the project lifecycle
• Support the overall team's quality objectives and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of software testing, development and automation experience
• Experienced with programming languages such as Python or Java and scripting language like SQL
• Good understanding of cloud technologies AWS or Azure is preferred
• Proficient in Agile software development
• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities in response to changing business needs
• Experience with trading or financial applications is preferred
• Understanding of Dev Ops principles and strategies as well as how to apply them to multiple SDLC models is preferred
