About the position

The Senior Test Lead in API/Webservices Testing at HCLTech is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of testing projects, ensuring quality and efficiency in testing processes, and providing guidance to the testing team. This role involves leading API and webservices testing initiatives, developing testing strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage API and webservices testing projects from initiation to completion
• Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and procedures for API testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and resolve technical issues
• Conduct automated testing using Selenium for web applications
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements
• Mentor and guide team members on technical best practices in testing
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in API and webservices testing methodologies
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders on project status and technical aspects of testing

Requirements

• Strong experience in API testing and webservices testing
• Proficiency in using automation tools like Selenium for web application testing
• In-depth knowledge of SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) methodologies
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Good communication and leadership skills
