About the position

Innova Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract position lasting over 12 months. The role involves hands-on development of back-end microservices using Java and Spring Boot, with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences. The engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and will collaborate with Agile teams to implement technical solutions using modern technologies.

Responsibilities

• Building resilient APIs and Microservices using the latest technologies.
• Performing engineering activities for performance tuning and deep monitoring of applications and services.
• Working with business partners, architects, and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of the system, determine the priority of work, and ensure integrated end-to-end design and delivery.
• Leveraging DevOps practices for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD).

Requirements

• 7 to 15 years of experience in Java 8 or above, Spring, APIs, AWS, DevOps, and CICD.
• Excellent design and coding skills with a zeal for building applications using open source frameworks for cloud native technologies.
• Strong sense of engineering quality and pride in the code produced.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience in Container orchestration frameworks: Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or Amazon ECS.
• Certified in Java 8 or above, Spring or AWS technologies.
