About the position

Anaplan is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) Manager to join our sales team in Minneapolis, MN. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for leading and developing our Sales Development Representatives, who are crucial in driving the top of the funnel for our SaaS solutions. This role is not just about managing a team; it’s about inspiring and motivating them to achieve their best performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. In this position, you will define the strategic objectives for the SDR team, ensuring that they are aligned with the overall goals of the company. You will monitor lead processes and metrics, accelerating pipeline creation through effective coaching and best practices. Your ability to report on operational and financial KPIs will be essential in providing insights to leadership and driving decision-making. You will also play a pivotal role in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new SDR team members to support our global expansion efforts. Your influence will extend beyond just managing the team; you will conduct weekly one-on-ones with each SDR, providing personalized feedback and guidance. You will work closely with your industry lead AVP to ensure alignment and collaboration across the organization. Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic objective and performance achievement for the SDRs
  • Monitor lead processes, metrics, and accelerate pipeline creation
  • Coach SDRs on pipeline generating best practices
  • Report operational and financial KPIs to leadership
  • Motivate, incentivize, and recognize team members to encourage top performance
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new SDR team members to support global expansion
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s with each SDR
  • Align with your industry lead AVP
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • 2+ years as SDR/BDR or inside sales experience, preferably at an enterprise software company selling SaaS / Cloud applications
  • 1+ years of management experience (SDR or Sales)
  • Strong preference for outbound experience, not just handling inbound leads
  • Solid track record of successfully leading a high performing team
  • Strong understanding of outbound pipeline generation processes
  • Enthusiastic & high energy motivator
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong social skills and emotional intelligence
  • Analytical & comfortable generating reports and identifying trends in data
  • Familiarity with technology such as SFDC, DemandBase, Drift, Outreach, DiscoverOrg, ZoomInfo, and Sales Navigator is a plus but not a requirement
  • Adept at introducing, training, and implementing activity metrics
