About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales & Channel teams by generating new business opportunities. This position involves identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers across various sectors, including commercial, finance, police, military, and intelligence. The SDR will focus on bringing in high-quality leads and developing a deep understanding of the marketplace to effectively target prospects with multiple quality touchpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong knowledge of Fivecast products and explain how solutions meet customer needs.
  • Utilize CRM data, cold calls, and email to generate new sales opportunities by contacting and qualifying potential customers.
  • Attend and represent Fivecast at conferences and events across the US & Canada.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Identify the needs of prospects and suggest appropriate products.
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
  • Help nurture and progress marketing leads through the Lead -> MQL -> SAL -> SQL funnel.
  • Create and manage leads through the sales pipeline in CRM software, setting appointments and calls with Account Directors.
  • Follow up on leads and track progress towards meeting sales goals.
  • Set up meetings or calls between prospective customers and sales executives.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and results to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales or customer service, with a track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or other CRM software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients
  • Creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
  • Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A desire to learn and grow in the sales field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working within police, military, or homeland security
  • Understanding of application of open-source intelligence and risk assessment
  • Understanding of investigation and intelligence practices in law enforcement and national security agencies in the USA.
