About the position

The SE-ERS Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating large-scale projects, ensuring that goals and objectives are met within the specified time frame and budget. This role involves overseeing project personnel, managing resources, and providing technical guidance while maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Review project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects.
  • Confer with Service Center Manager or Region Director to outline work plans and assign duties.
  • Establish work plans and staffing for each project phase and arrange for personnel assignments.
  • Direct and coordinate project personnel activities to ensure progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Review status reports and documentation from project personnel and modify schedules as required.
  • Prepare and present project reports for management and clients.
  • Gather and develop backup material for change order requests.
  • Provide technical advice and resolve problems with project personnel.
  • Coordinate project activities with clients and contractors as required.
  • Supervise Field Engineers and Technicians assigned to projects.
  • Develop large-scale project management processes for company-wide use.
  • Mentor junior personnel in project management practices.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code and industry standards such as OSHA and NFPA.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Latista, Google Docs, and other project management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Ability to supervise, organize, and direct the work of others with mature judgment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to travel out-of-town and internationally for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to lift and move test equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
