About the position

The Growth Marketing Manager (GMM) at Sea-Bird Scientific is responsible for leading the demand generation strategy and execution within the marketing organization. This high-impact role focuses on digital marketing channels, including paid advertising, organic search, CRM, and email marketing, to drive growth and support science-based decisions for ocean sustainability. The GMM will manage a team of digital marketers, develop data-driven strategies, and collaborate with sales to optimize lead generation and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of digital marketers, supporting their growth and development.
  • Develop and optimize a multi-channel performance marketing strategy to achieve customer growth and financial objectives.
  • Drive qualified lead generation and collaborate with Sales to optimize the leads process.
  • Refine understanding of the customer journey and leverage marketing automation tools to attract and retain customers.
  • Own search strategy, budget, and execution to enhance awareness and growth through SEO and paid search.
  • Improve digital marketing reach to maximize access to core markets and explore new opportunities.
  • Analyze and communicate data-driven program performance, identifying trends and opportunities for campaign optimization.
  • Evaluate, select, test, and implement MarTech/AdTech solutions to enhance performance marketing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience leading a team of digital marketers in a technical industry.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

  • Top-tier communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Completed or in-progress Marketo Certification is a plus.
  • A passion for the ocean and climate science.
