About the position

The Sea Logistics Area Revenue Care Manager at Kuehne+Nagel is responsible for overseeing and developing the area pricing department within the Sea Logistics team. This role focuses on implementing pricing strategies, driving volume growth, managing allocation, and enhancing customer and employee experiences. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze market data, and contribute to pricing excellence in the sea logistics business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Gross Profit, yield, and allocation management.
  • Identify low-yield accounts and sell value-added services.
  • Manage local/regional Request for Quotes (RFQ) and local spot pricing requests.
  • Develop pricing strategies at trade-lane, client, and area levels.
  • Set and monitor pricing Key Performance Indicators and productivity.
  • Develop and implement pricing policy within the Area organization.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership team to maintain existing business and win new business.
  • Ensure optimization of carrier allocation in accordance with Area demand.
  • Integrate and harmonize standard pricing procedures into existing Kuehne+Nagel Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Participate in client meetings to assist area sales and prepare SME Request for Quote.
  • Provide regular news updates to area sales and management.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews and trainings with area sales as a sea logistics SME expert.
  • Lead the Area Pricing Team and support the Area Sea Logistics Organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing/Finance/Sales/Management or comparable work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management position with 2 or more direct reports.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sea Logistics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Products.
  • Ability to travel for business.
  • Ability to work from the office 5 days per week.
