About the position
The Seafood Manager at Cosentino's Price Chopper is responsible for leading the Seafood team to enhance customer shopping experiences while promoting company growth. This role involves overseeing operations, managing team performance, and ensuring high standards of product quality and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the Seafood team to promote growth and deliver expected product and service quality.
- Set and implement strategies for operational excellence, including labor management and sales analysis.
- Communicate departmental goals to team members and implement plans to achieve them.
- Supervise the Seafood team, providing coaching, corrective actions, and performance evaluations.
- Address employee relations issues and collaborate with Human Resources as needed.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere with high morale and effective communication.
- Conduct interviews and hire quality candidates for the Seafood team.
- Create schedules to manage labor costs while meeting customer service needs.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and involve store management when necessary.
- Implement Cosentino Customer Service Standards and promote new items and specials through effective merchandising.
- Manage inventory processes, including counting, tracking, and ordering products.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area for customers and coworkers.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license for deliveries.
- Food handling permit required within the first 14 days of employment.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a retail seafood setting.
- Completion of ongoing training as per the Cosentino Learning Plan.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
