Seafood Manager - PORT ANGELES - WA

About the position

The Seafood Manager is responsible for overseeing the Seafood Department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and achieving sales and profit objectives. This role involves training and supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness in the seafood area while adhering to company policies and merchandising guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service as defined by the employer within company policy.
• Train, schedule, and supervise seafood clerks to ensure optimum staffing patterns.
• Resolve customer issues related to the Seafood department operations.
• Implement division guidelines for merchandising programs.
• Operate electronic scanning scale to record item weights.
• Apply price tags to wrapped items.
• Fulfill special orders for customers from the seafood case.
• Maintain cleanliness of the seafood area, including cleaning spills and equipment.
• Restock displays and remove expired items daily.
• Perform daily inventory and order necessary products and supplies.
• Monitor inter-office mail and company web page for updates.
• Create signs for the department as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
• Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work independently when necessary.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Desired: Prior management experience.
