About the position

As the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Senior Analyst for Whirlpool's US Digital Marketing team, you will develop and execute technical SEO plans which will have a direct impact on share of search, organic traffic, website engagement metrics and sales. You will directly impact the major appliance business for Whirlpool, Maytag, and KitchenAid. You'll inspire others on your team, cross-functional partners, and external agencies to put our consumers first and craft search experiences that build brand health and support Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business growth. You are a data-driven, technical SEO expert who views search marketing from a holistic perspective. You have robust experience completing technical audits for medium to large ecommerce websites, keyword research, in-depth competitor Search Engine Results Page (SERP) analyses, and search performance reporting. A successful candidate will demonstrate a well versed understanding of technical SEO, content marketing, and website analytics, as well as take a straightforward approach to the search industry and future of SEO. He or she must have prior search engine marketing experience with excellent analytic capabilities, keen business judgment, experience working with cross-functional partners and the ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, agile work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the team's Technical SEO lead, responsible for conducting technical SEO audits, identifying top priority opportunities, and building business cases for the development / product team to implement
  • Work closely with development / product teams to build clear actionable tickets via agile sprint planning to drive successful technical SEO activations on our brand.com sites
  • Build and analyze search reports using SEO tools and on-site reporting platforms including but not limited to BrightEdge, Adobe, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager and Screaming Frog
  • Gather, classify, organize, and manage large keyword research projects; must be comfortable analyzing high volumes of data using google sheets and / or automated tools
  • Perform search market analyses for key product launches, which includes robust competitor search analysis, site content / internal linking mapping, and on-page content optimization briefs
  • Drive cross-department collaboration with various teams, including but not limited to external agency partners, paid search team, digital brand teams, developers, and merchandising product leads
  • Prepare and adapt to search algorithm changes, including Google and rising search engines like SearchGBT. Have a strong understanding of current search ranking factors and ability to monitor and keep a close pulse on evolving SERP developments across platforms
  • Contribute to Whirlpool's mission of building a best in class search engine marketing program, which involves analyzing both organic and paid search data to identify opportunities to improve overall search performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing SEO data and supporting SEO strategy
  • Experience driving SEO ecommerce technical SEO strategy

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience working at a digital marketing agency in a search role
  • Immense attention to detail, organization and extreme focus on quality of results
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to drive meaningful actions
  • Ability to manage time and organize projects; can meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent creativity and flexibility. Must be self-motivated and independent, well organized, and able to own hands-on work with minimum supervision, and work well with all staff levels
