About the position

This position focuses on providing operational support for TikTok's search optimization, user demands, and search quality. The Search Quality Assurance team possesses deep knowledge of data labeling and search strategy optimizations, providing essential policy guidelines to the search specialists. The role involves evaluating and analyzing search needs, market preferences, and strategy effectiveness to improve both search usage and user experience across global markets. As a member of the Search Strategy Operations team, you will be responsible for managing core product operations metrics and optimizing search recommendation strategies. This includes managing regional user feedback for search recommendations, taking actions based on this feedback, and recording cases for periodic analysis to enhance user experience. You will work closely with Search Product Managers, Research and Development teams, data delivery teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve product targets collaboratively. It is important to note that this position involves exposure to sensitive content, including but not limited to vulgar content, violence, pornography, and fake news. Therefore, candidates should be prepared for the psychological demands of this role, as it can be both rewarding and emotionally taxing. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for core Prod ops metrics and optimization of search recommendation strategy in global markets, evaluating and analyzing search needs/market preference/strategy effectiveness, improve both search usage and experience
  • Manage regional user feedback for search recommendations, take actions and record cases for periodical analysis to improve user experience accordingly
  • Work closely and flexibly with Search PM and RD teams as well as data delivery teams and XFN stakeholders to achieve product targets together
  • Handle sensitive content, including but not limited to vulgar content, violence, pornography, and fake news.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above, preferably in data/content/culture-related majors
  • 3 year+ relevant experience in the tech industry, including but not limited to strategy, operation, recommendation, search or related areas
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders and collaborating across business units
  • Familiar with search engines and social media platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, etc.
  • Team player, goal-oriented, ready to embrace change and challenges, able to work in a global team efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good at data analysis and communication skills
  • Project management experience is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of TikTok culture, familiar with the Internet usage habits of users.
